Throughout the Covid-19 pandemic, Lighthouse continued to provide essential support to the vulnerable and marginalised within our community. Our services during the pandemic were recognised through our charity lead, Rev’d Jon Swales, being named in HRH the Queen’s New Year’s Honours List in 2022. Since then we have continued our regular therapeutic Day Centre provision throughout the week as more individuals continue to come to us for help and support through the Cost of Living Crisis. Our Day Centres also serve as ‘warm spaces’ through winter months and have been designated ‘cool spaces’ during the 2022 & 2023 summer heat waves.

“In the first 3 months of lockdown, Lighthouse provided more than 5,000 pastoral phone calls, 1,000 essential food parcels, 300 doorstep visits & services of worship and 500 hours of support for some of the most vulnerable who were unable to stay home alone.”
